This “pied à terre” in Italy's fashion and design capital was decorated by a young architect with a unique, personal touch. Inside a recently renovated building in Milan's China Town, this one bedroom apartment features a customised kitchen with Smeg appliances in a suspended cage. The bedroom has a double bed and walls painted a relaxing shade of green, while the glass door in the living room leads to a small garden and fills the space, despite its dark walls, with light. The vintage style floral wallpaper brings a slightly whimsical feel to the décor.
#The neighbourhood
This is one of the best spots to see contemporary Milan, the city's downtown district with its high-rises, the Bosco Verticale and Corso Como, boasting stylish bars and famous night clubs. It is a few steps away from via Paolo Sarpi, the heart of China Town, a swirl of colours and scents. The Chinese restaurants are excellent, but the historic shops and wine bars are the highlight of this neighbourhood, with their unparalleled delicacies.
