Il Limone is an ancient manor house with vaulted ceilings 5 ​​meters high, built in late nineteenth century by a family of landowners from Fasano, a rich agricultural center Puglia. The family, like all wealthy families in the area, lived in the village in winter and during the summer season moved to the proprerty Il Limone to better follow the farms and enjoy the freshness and proximity to the sea. Il Limone was built by quarrying the typical suggestive local stone from the same land, ideal for keeping cool in summer. In front of the house was created a quarry, where around in 1800, a splendid sunken citrus grove, protected by a very high dry stone wall. The house and its splendid swimming pool overlook the citrus grove with a difference in altitude of six meters.
